Genshin impact vs honkai: star rail10/4/2023 Honkais events on the other hand feature lots of those new gameplay events far more often than Genshin. Rinse repeat." There are occasionally events that feature some new gameplay (like a Breakout clone, Tower Defense, Music game etc.) but then they repeat it later with some changed rules again. Most of the events in Genshin feel far more often like a Visual Novel portion put into Genshin. While Genshin is the money maker for Mihoyo, the events in Honkai Impact 3rd to me are far more fun. Even lines later if you would have chosen the last option, you will get some encouragement by March and she would thank you. In Star Rail it can be "Yes." "What? No way in hell I am helping you." "Lets ask March what she thinks." And each of that will actually lead to a different dialogue by the NPC. Alright." "No." But when you choose now, it somehow gets to yes again. Honkai Impact 3rd has that to an extent, but usually the dialogue there has far more lore that feels at least you get something out of that (even if sometimes hard to understand) and Star Rail seems to get to the point far faster than Genshin without repeats and boring talk along with jokes thrown into it.įurthermore in Star Rail your choices actually matter in a dialogue, meaning that the other person in 95% responds to the choice you made. Some people even joke they do it because the writers get paid per word. You are having some long-ass dialogue that do not even convey important stuff, but often boring stuff and Paimon will just repeat the same thing you read 3 lines ago. One of the biggest pet peeves people have with Genshin is the writing and especially Paimons expositions. This is just my opinion, but I feel each game features stuff that I would want to see in all the other games like that, so they feel more "complete" or just better.ġ.) Writing in Genshin compared to their other 2 games. So now that Star Rail is out and having played Genshin, Honkai Impact 3rd and Star Rail (out of the bigger 3 ones), I really have to talk about Mihoyo and their approach in all those titles regarding stuff like QoL, how they handle events, writing etc.
